Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms & Conditions before placing an order with Zaartec Ltd.
Different provisions apply depending on whether you purchase as a Consumer for personal use or as a Business Customer for trade, business or professional purposes.
Consumer law gives Consumers rights that cannot be excluded or reduced by contract. Where any part of these terms conflicts with a mandatory Consumer right, that legal right takes priority.
01 About Zaartec +
Zaartec Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 13927996.
Our registered office is 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX.
02 Who These Terms Apply To +
These terms apply when you use zaartec.com, create an account, request a quotation or place an order with Zaartec.
A Consumer is an individual acting mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
A Business Customer is a person or organisation purchasing mainly for trade, business, craft or professional purposes.
Consumer law gives Consumers rights that cannot be excluded or reduced by contract. Where any part of these terms conflicts with a mandatory Consumer right, that legal right takes priority.
Business Customers are subject to the Business-specific provisions in these terms and any separately agreed written trade or credit terms.
03 Products, Specifications & Live Stock +
We take reasonable care to keep product descriptions, specifications, images, compatibility information and live stock availability accurate.
Manufacturer specifications can change, and images may show packaging or minor cosmetic differences that do not materially change the product.
Live stock is an availability indication and may change quickly. Goods are not reserved until your order is accepted.
If a product becomes unavailable, we may offer an alternative, revised lead time, partial fulfilment or a refund, as appropriate.
04 Prices, VAT, Retail Pricing & Trade Pricing +
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Customers shopping as Consumers must be shown the total price including VAT and any unavoidable charges before they place an order.
Approved Trade Accounts may be shown trade prices excluding VAT where this is clearly stated. VAT will then be added at the applicable rate.
Public customers may purchase at the applicable retail price shown on the website. Approved Trade Accounts may receive different account-specific pricing after login.
Promotions, retail prices and trade prices may change from time to time.
The price that applies is the price presented and confirmed at checkout, except where there is an obvious and genuine pricing, typographical or system error.
05 Orders & Contract Formation +
When you submit an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket subject to these terms.
An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order but does not by itself mean we have accepted it.
A contract is formed when we send an order acceptance or dispatch confirmation, unless the checkout or confirmation expressly states otherwise.
Before acceptance, we may decline or cancel an order where stock is unavailable, payment is not authorised, delivery is not available, an obvious pricing error has occurred, purchase limits apply, or we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unlawful activity.
06 Payment +
Payment must be made using a payment method offered by Zaartec or under an approved Trade Account credit arrangement.
Where payment is due in advance, goods will not normally be dispatched until cleared payment is received.
You must provide accurate billing details and be authorised to use the payment method provided.
We may carry out reasonable anti-fraud or verification checks.
07 Delivery +
We offer UK nationwide delivery, with next-working-day delivery available on eligible in-stock orders subject to the displayed cut-off time, courier availability, destination and product restrictions.
For public / Consumer customers, the free-delivery threshold corresponding to £250 excluding VAT is £300 including VAT. For approved Trade Accounts, the threshold may be displayed as £250 excluding VAT.
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed service. Remote postcodes, offshore destinations, oversized goods and courier-restricted areas may have different services, charges or times.
For Consumers, unless a different delivery period is agreed, we will deliver within the period required by applicable law.
If you need to change the delivery address, contact us immediately. We will do our best to amend it before dispatch. Once the parcel has been dispatched, any change depends on the courier and may not be possible.
08 Consumer Right to Cancel Online Orders +
If you are a Consumer buying online, you generally have a legal right to cancel an eligible order without giving a reason.
For goods, the cancellation period generally ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.
After notifying us that you are cancelling, you generally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
You can notify us by email or WhatsApp using a clear statement, or use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms.
The statutory cancellation right does not apply in certain cases, including where the law excludes it, for example genuinely personalised or custom-made goods, certain sealed goods once unsealed for health or hygiene reasons, perishable items, and sealed audio/video recordings or computer software once unsealed.
If you cancel under your statutory right, we will refund payments due to you in accordance with applicable law.
09 Zaartec 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns +
Our 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns policy is an additional Zaartec policy for eligible products. It does not replace or reduce any statutory Consumer rights.
For Consumers: during the statutory cancellation period, your statutory rights apply. For the additional period after the statutory cancellation window and up to 30 days from delivery, Zaartec may require eligible change-of-mind goods to be unused, complete, in resaleable condition and returned with original packaging and accessories where applicable.
For Business Customers: there is no general statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. Any return accepted under our 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns policy is discretionary and subject to product eligibility, prior return authorisation, condition, packaging and any reasonable return requirements notified by Zaartec.
Products that are genuinely personalised, made to specification, activated or licensed in a way that prevents resale, or otherwise lawfully excluded may not qualify for change-of-mind returns.
10 Refunds +
For Consumer statutory cancellations, refunds will be made within the time required by law.
We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, where the law allows.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and lawful.
For returns made only under Zaartec's additional 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns policy, refund eligibility and any permitted deductions will depend on the applicable policy conditions and customer type.
11 Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods +
If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or not fit for a purpose made known to us where the law applies, contact us as soon as possible with your order details and a description of the problem.
Consumers have statutory remedies in relation to faulty goods. These can include a short-term right to reject within the applicable 30-day period and, depending on the circumstances, repair, replacement, price reduction or refund rights after that period.
We may reasonably request photos, video, serial numbers, diagnostic information or troubleshooting steps to understand the issue.
Business Customers should inspect deliveries promptly and notify us of visible shortages, transit damage or incorrect goods as soon as reasonably possible.
12 Warranty & After-Sales Support +
Warranty periods vary by brand, product and product condition and will be shown on the relevant product page, quotation, invoice or other order documentation where applicable.
A manufacturer, supplier or Zaartec warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, statutory Consumer rights.
Unless the applicable warranty states otherwise, warranty does not normally cover accidental damage, misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, external causes or normal wear and tear.
13 Trade Accounts & Business Credit +
Trade Accounts are available only to genuine Business Customers and are subject to approval and verification.
Trade pricing, credit limits and payment terms may be account-specific and may be reviewed, reduced, suspended or withdrawn where reasonably necessary.
Where credit has been approved, invoices must be paid by the agreed due date.
We may suspend further orders, hold dispatches, reduce or withdraw credit, or require advance payment where an account is overdue or a credit limit has been reached.
14 Business Purchase Orders & Conflicting Terms +
These terms apply to Business Customer orders unless Zaartec expressly agrees different terms in writing.
Any terms printed on, attached to or referred to in a Business Customer purchase order, procurement portal, acknowledgement or other document do not override or amend these terms merely because Zaartec accepts, processes or fulfils the order.
Different terms apply only where expressly accepted in writing by an authorised representative of Zaartec.
15 Product Suitability, Compatibility & Installation +
Please check product specifications, system requirements and compatibility before ordering.
Our team can assist based on the information you provide, but project design and installation requirements can depend on site conditions and third-party equipment.
Security, networking, electrical, fire, access-control and similar products should be installed or configured by suitably competent persons where required.
16 Risk & Ownership for Business Customers +
For Business Customers, risk in goods normally passes when the goods are delivered to the agreed delivery address or authorised recipient.
To the extent permitted by law, ownership (title) in goods supplied on credit remains with Zaartec until Zaartec has received full cleared payment for those goods.
Until title passes, a Business Customer should keep unpaid goods identifiable as Zaartec-supplied goods and must not deliberately dispose of or encumber them in a way that defeats Zaartec's ownership rights.
17 Our Liability - Consumers +
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
If you are a Consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for business losses where you purchased the goods wholly or mainly for personal use.
18 Our Liability - Business Customers +
This section applies only to Business Customers and is subject to any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zaartec will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, opportunity or data arising from a Business Customer order.
Subject to the previous paragraph and any liability that cannot legally be limited, Zaartec's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with a particular Business Customer order will not normally exceed the total amount paid or payable to Zaartec for that order.
19 Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control +
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, courier or transport disruption, strikes, supplier disruption, power or network outages, fire, flood, government action or other exceptional events.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and keep affected customers informed.
Nothing in this section removes any mandatory Consumer right to cancel or obtain a refund where that right arises.
20 Website Use & Intellectual Property +
You may use zaartec.com for lawful shopping, account management and product-information purposes.
You must not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, disrupt the website, use automated scraping in a way that harms the service, or use website content unlawfully.
Unless stated otherwise, Zaartec's original website content, layout and materials are owned by or licensed to Zaartec.
Manufacturer names, logos, images and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
21 Privacy & Cookies +
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and use cookies in accordance with our Cookie Policy.
Those policies form part of the information provided through the website.
22 Complaints & Dispute Resolution +
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at sales@zaartec.com or through WhatsApp so we have the opportunity to resolve it promptly.
Consumers may obtain independent information about consumer rights from the Citizens Advice Consumer Service.
Where Zaartec is required by law, or has agreed, to use an accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider for a particular dispute, we will provide the relevant information.
23 Changes to These Terms +
We may update these terms for future orders to reflect changes to our business, website, policies or applicable law.
The version applying to an order is normally the version made available when the order was placed, unless a change is required by law.
24 Governing Law & Courts +
These terms and orders placed with Zaartec are governed by the law of England and Wales.
For Business Customers, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule of law that applies.
If you are a Consumer, this does not remove any mandatory right you may have to rely on the law of, or bring proceedings in, the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
